At the Spectrum J. Geils, Johnny’s Dance Band

 

They certainly proved this writer wrong when Johnny’s Dance Band won over a bloodthirsty mob at the Spectrum Dec. 29 opening for the J Geils Band.

 

We figured they’d get eaten alive by that kind of cherry bomb crowd, but JDB pulled it off with typical good humor. Fortune continues to swing their way as a record deal is close to being signed and the group heads off for other East Coast pastures on a limited tour in the coming weeks. Best to em.
